Constellation: Fifteen Fine Art Photographers
Exhibition: August 28 to October 20, 2017
Baldwin Photographic Gallery at Middle Tennessee State University is proud to present its opening Fall 2017 exhibition, Constellation: Fifteen Fine Art Photographers. Jackie Kerns Heigle curated the exhibition from works by artists represented at Obscura Gallery in Santa Fe, NM.
The fifteen nationally and internationally acclaimed photographers range in age, photographic style and genre, but all celebrate the unique qualities of the medium, often taking from or adding to many of the medium’s 19th and 20th century photographic processes such as platinum/ palladium, hand-colored gelatin silver, wet plate collodion, kallitype, gum dichromate, resin printing, and contemporary pigment printing. Subject matter depicted include starry skies and wonders of nature, man, and animal — a constellation of inspiring works from exceptional artists.
